We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Manufacturing Prepper & Cleaner to join their growing team in Eastbourne.

This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment, supporting the preparation, cleaning, inspection, and finishing of specialist components to a high standard. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring products are completed accurately, safely, and in line with quality requirements.

This position would suit someone with previous manufacturing or engineering experience who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, inspect, package, and label components and assemblies to required standards
  • Carry out leak checks and quality inspections where required
  • Perform bead blasting and surface preparation work
  • Identify and report any faults or defects during processing
  • Work to production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
  • Follow work instructions and company procedures accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Support wider production and manufacturing activities as required
 

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
  • Experience working with cleaning chemicals or abrasive materials (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines
  • Experience of bead blasting would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of welding or fabrication processes would be beneficial
  • Engineering or manufacturing qualifications such as BTEC/HNC/HND are desirable
