Marketing and Business Development Lead – Law Firm

Hours: Full time (5 days pw) or Part Time (4 days pw)

Location: Coventry / Hybrid with homeworking supported up to 50% of the week if desired

Salary: circa £30,000 per annum

About the firm:

A multi award-winning, Lexcel and CQS accredited, Legal 500-recognised law firm based in modern, purpose-built offices in Coventry with free secure parking onsite.

What you’ll be doing:

The role will involve playing a key part in supporting the law firm’s growth by increasing brand awareness, strengthening the firm’s social media presence and supporting business development activity. 

The role focuses on raising profile, supporting lawyers with visibility and relationship‑building and delivering practical marketing activity.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high‑quality content that promotes the law firm’s expertise, values and culture
  • Supporting and encouraging lawyers to build their professional profiles 
  • Monitoring engagement and adjusting activity to maximise reach and impact
  • Helping develop and communicate the firm’s brand story, reinforcing its position as a leading law firm
  • Identifying opportunities to promote the firm through external channels and partnerships including identifying events and networking opportunities for lawyers to attend
  • Overseeing website content 
  • Working with lawyers to support the creation of news, insights and updates that demonstrate expertise and support SEO objectives
  • Supporting client communications with newsletters and targeted updates
  • Assisting with marketing activity that supports repeat instructions and cross‑selling
  • Supporting with planning and delivering hosted seminars and networking events

Who we’re looking for:

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Experience of marketing and business development within a professional services environment (e.g. law firm, estate agents, accountancy, recruitment etc.)
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Adobe and Canva
  • Experience of using social media/content scheduling platforms
  • Experience of supporting a law firm with marketing and business development (advantageous but not essential)
  • Excellent attention not detail
  • Good proof-reading skills
  • Experience in content creating
  • Sound commercial awareness
  • The ability to work collaboratively with lawyers across a range of legal services
  • A keen interest in getting involved in business development as well as marketing
  • Excellent communication, engagement and influencing skills

This is a permanent job offered on a full-time (5 days pw) or part-time (4 days pw) basis. Core working hours are 9:00am to 5:15pm with an hour for lunch. Homeworking is available 50% of the week, if desired.
