Head of Mathematics – Independent School | Milton Keynes

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £47,511 (dependent on experience)

An independent school in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a Head of Mathematics to lead a well-established department from September 2026.

The Role

  • Lead and develop the Mathematics department
  • Drive high-quality teaching and learning across KS3–KS4
  • Plan and implement an engaging and rigorous curriculum
  • Monitor progress and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, including mock assessments
  • Line manage staff and support professional development
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement and academic standards

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
