Salary: £100 - £115 per day

Are you a recent Maths graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education while making a real difference to young people's lives?

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or specialist educational support.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support in Mathematics to students with additional learning needs.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to improve numeracy skills and mathematical confidence.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and accessible maths lessons.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their academic goals.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support student development.


Essential Skills and Qualities

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting students with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students with varying learning needs.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.


Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a strong academic background in mathematics and a desire to support young people in reaching their potential. Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN is advantageous but not essential.
