Maths Supply Teacher (QTS Required) – Job Description

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience desirable.
• Follow school schemes of work and lesson plans, adapting where necessary to meet students' needs.
• Maintain continuity of learning during staff absence.
• Assess student understanding and provide feedback where required.
• Differentiate learning to support students of varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement the school's behaviour policy consistently.
• Create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school leaders.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom environments.
• Complete registers, handovers, and any required lesson feedback for the school.
• Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures and report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.
• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Ability to engage and motivate students to achieve their potential.
