Salary: £46,587.88 (inclusive of 35% holiday bonus for 33 days per year, 25 vacation & 8 bank holidays)

About the Role
We are looking for a Measurement Room Specialist to join the plant Quality Department, supporting both the metrology and metallurgical laboratories.
In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and inspecting internally manufactured and externally supplied components, helping to ensure they meet the required quality and engineering standards.
You will work closely with a range of teams across the business, including engineering, production, maintenance and management, supporting projects and services within an advanced automotive manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a site that is transforming towards the manufacture of electric vehicle powertrain technology.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the commissioning and introduction of new measurement equipment.
- Measuring internal and externally purchased components using laboratory equipment.
- Producing accurate measurement reports for inspected components.
- Supporting quality investigations by providing measurement and technical support.
- Assisting with the development of test methods and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed in line with business targets and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate some or all of the following:
- A completed Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship, or an HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
- Knowledge of measurement principles, processes and inspection techniques.
- Previous experience within metrology laboratory measurement would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and a willingness to learn.
- A good understanding of 5S and workplace organisation.
