Mechanical Assembly Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our client's production team. This hands-on role involves assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical and hydraulic equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and hydraulic components from engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Build and test subassemblies and finished products.
  • Manufacture and test hoses, pipework, and associated components.
  • Carry out functional and pressure testing where required.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
  • Support production schedules and project deadlines.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on engineering role.
  • Competent using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Full UK license and own transport due to location of site

Desirable:

  • Mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Automotive, plant, maintenance, or mechanical fitting background.
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems.
