Role: Mechanical Associate - Building Services (Growing Design Consultancy)

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits

Are you an experienced Mechanical Associate looking to step into a role with real influence and progression? This growing building design consultancy in Newcastle is expanding its senior leadership team and is seeking a technically strong, commercially aware Mechanical Associate to help drive the next phase of growth.

You'll be joining a forward‑thinking consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, healthcare, and a range of other interesting and meaningful sectors. With a strong pipeline and a reputation for quality, this is an opportunity to take ownership, lead teams, and shape the future of the Newcastle office.



What you'll be doing

  • Leading mechanical design delivery across multiple building projects
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers
  • Acting as a key client‑facing representative for the business
  • Overseeing technical standards, quality, and project performance
  • Supporting bids, proposals, and wider business development
  • Playing a strategic role in the continued growth of the Newcastle office


What we're looking for

  • Strong background in mechanical building services design
  • Experience across residential and/or healthcare projects
  • Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership (CEng)
  • Ambitious, collaborative, and motivated to help grow a team
