Location: St Austell, Cornwall
Salary: £37,002.70 – £39,459.80 DOE + £3,156.05 allowance
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours

About the role

We are recruiting a Mechanical / Centrifuge Chargehand to support maintenance of centrifuges, grinders and plant equipment at Drinnick Stores.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintenance, reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose faults on plant equipment
• Support breakdown response
• Supervise a small engineering team
• Coordinate contractors and site activities
• Support installation and improvement projects
• Manage work orders and maintenance records (SAP)
• Ensure compliance with HSE and site procedures

Requirements

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
• Industrial maintenance experience
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Experience with SAP or similar system
• Strong safety awareness
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience with centrifuges or similar equipment
• Supervisory experience
• Welding skills
