Client: Our client is a traditional privately owned M&E contractor based in southeast London. The business turns over £30M+ undertaking projects in the retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Having been established over 50 years they benefit from being a preferred contractor for major blue chip clients. This means they have a continuous and stable workflow. The business has recently appointed a new Managing Director who is set to take the business on a growth trajectory over the next 15 years.
My client is seeking a multiple job running Mechanical Contracts Manager. The position will be office based, visiting sites. Site visits will need to be flexible and you will need to manage your time appropriately. Typically you will be overseeing 2-4 projects at one time.
Role/Responsibilities:
· Involvement in estimating from build ability prospective and mid bid meetings
· Tender review/validation
· Upfront engineering – looking at high level procurement and design
· Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
· Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
· All deliverables on a project
· Managing 2-4 sites at any given time
· Client relationship management – Main contractor, MEP consultant, professional team downstream to subcontractors
· Overall lead – Technically, commercially, operationally
The ideal candidate:
· Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment
· Will be comfortable managing multiple projects
· Experience across a number of sectors
· A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
· The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
