Mechanical Engineer - Contract

We’re looking for a Contract Mechanical Engineer to support a short-term engineering data migration project. This is a hands-on role focused on reviewing, updating, and transferring mechanical drawings into a new system.

What you’ll be doing
  • Reviewing and updating mechanical drawings (tolerances, standards, manufacturability)
  • Transferring CAD data between systems
  • Ensuring correct version control and data integrity
  • Supporting a structured engineering data migration project
What you’ll need
  • Strong mechanical engineering background
  • Proven experience with SolidWorks
  • Ability to read and modify engineering drawings confidently
  • Experience with PDM / data management systems
  • Detail-oriented, methodical approach
Contract details
  • Duration: 6–9 months
  • Start: ASAP
  • Location: Predominantly on-site in Cambridge
  • Rate: Negotiable
