Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer, East Kilbride

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities and engineering services provider on a prestigious and highly secure contract.

This is a rare opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer with experience working on industrial plant, boilers, heavy mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will join a well-established engineering team responsible for maintaining critical mechanical assets across a large site.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment
• Routine boiler checks, inspections, blowdowns and associated maintenance
• Fault finding and repair of mechanical systems
• Supporting statutory compliance and safe system operation

Requirements

• Strong mechanical maintenance background
• Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, process, utilities or heavy engineering environments
• Knowledge of steam boilers or boiler house operations would be advantageous
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults independently
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
