Mechanical Engineer – City of London
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Location: City of London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a high-profile commercial site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking a stable Monday–Friday role with strong benefits and clear opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across the site
• Maintain and repair mechanical plant including pumps, motors, boilers, and chillers
• Service and maintain calorifiers and heating systems
• Work on fan coil units (FCUs) and associated HVAC systems
• Support legionella control processes and ensure compliance
• Operate and maintain plant room equipment efficiently and safely
• Identify faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner
• Ensure all work is completed in line with current health & safety regulations

Requirements:

• Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a commercial building maintenance environment
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
• Experience working within plant rooms
• Understanding of legionella control procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
