Boston Rose are working with a specialist engineering training provider in Southampton to recruit a BTEC/HNC Mechanical Engineering Tutor.

This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lecturer who has delivered BTEC Level 3 and HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering programmes and is confident teaching higher-level engineering theory to apprentices and adult learners.

You'll be delivering a range of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mathematics units, supporting learners from Level 3 through to Level 4 and helping them achieve outstanding outcomes. The role involves lesson delivery, assessment, learner progress monitoring and curriculum development.

What we're looking for:

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Level 5 Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent)
• Experience delivering BTEC Mechanical Engineering programmes
• Experience teaching HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering units
• Strong knowledge of subjects such as:
• Engineering Mathematics
• Mechanical Principles
• Engineering Design
• Engineering Science
• Engineering Projects
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

The package:

• Salary up to £40,000
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Company pension scheme

• Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:15pm
• Friday 8:00am – 3:05pm

Please note that this position requires previous teaching experience within Further Education or Higher Education. Unfortunately, candidates coming directly from industry without teaching experience will not be considered.
