Mechanical Estimator – Building Services

Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Package
Type: Permanent

A growing multi-discipline contractor specialising in facilities management, M&E services, small works and full project delivery is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-construction team based in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business delivering commercial and industrial projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate mechanical estimates and tender submissions
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Carry out take-offs and detailed cost analysis
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal delivery teams
• Attend tender and pre-construction meetings where required
• Support project handover to operational teams upon award
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving solutions where appropriate

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within M&E or building services
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical building services installations
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience using estimating software advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders
