As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery. This Mechanical Fitter position requires a high level of accuracy, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.
In this Mechanical Fitter role, your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to assemble mechanical equipment and machinery
- Measuring and assembling components with a high level of accuracy and precision
- Installing and aligning mechanical components in line with specifications
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical faults and malfunctions
- Collaborating with engineers and production teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the assembly process
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and efficient
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Solid understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and high-tolerance measurements
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Relevant mechanical fitting qualification or training (desirable)
