The Opportunity: Mechanical to Electrical Conversion Engineer
This is a career-defining role for mechanically trained engineers who are genuinely motivated to:

You will join a global FMCG manufacturer operating a world-class, highly automated site, maintaining high-speed process and packaging machinery producing household consumer brands.
What We’re Looking For (Essential)
We are specifically targeting:
Mechanically biased engineers with:
- Apprenticeship (Mechanical) OR
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance / Engineering
Backgrounds considered:
- Manufacturing – including automotive, aerospace and process chemicals etc
- Food & beverage/packaging – the sweet spot
- Pharmaceutical/process industries
- Or any mechanical maintenance environment (open to all trades)
Exposure to the following is highly beneficial:
- Conveyors, motors, gearboxes, belts
- Packaging machinery/process equipment
- Basic exposure to sensors, relays, or electrical fault-finding

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair process and packaging machinery
- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Support fault-finding across mechanical & developing electrical elements
- Contribute to plant improvements, reliability, and automation upgrades
- Work on high-speed, automated FMCG production lines
