Mechanical Supervisor – Water Industry

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join a long-term water industry project delivering mechanical installation and upgrade works on a live operational site.

This role will suit someone with strong mechanical experience within the UK water sector who is confident supervising site activities, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently in line with programme requirements.

The position offers a long-term opportunity with an initial 6-month duration, with the potential to extend up to 18 months.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising mechanical installation activities on live water industry sites
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and day-to-day mechanical works
• Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with RAMS and site procedures
• Supporting site planning and sequencing of mechanical installation activities
• Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers and client representatives on site progress
• Monitoring quality of works and ensuring compliance with water industry standards
• Assisting with permits, toolbox talks and site safety documentation
• Supporting commissioning and handover activities where required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor within the water industry
• Strong mechanical background involving pipework, pumps, valves and associated plant equipment
• SSSTS essential
• CSCS card essential
• EUSR National Water Hygiene essential
• Ability to work within live operational environments and coordinate site activities safely
• Good communication and organisational skills

Additional Information:

• Start mid-June
