Mechanical Technician - Biomass Power Plant (Night Shift)
Location: Yorkshire / Nottinghamshire (UK Onshore)
Shift Pattern: 12‑hour nights - 7‑day operation
Contract / Temporary

KBM Resourcing are currently supporting a UK onshore project at a large biomass power generation facility in the Yorkshire / Nottinghamshire region. We are looking for experienced Mechanical Technicians to support planned outage and major inspection works.

This role would suit candidates with a strong background in power generation or heavy industrial environments who are comfortable working night shifts.

Role Overview

• Supporting major generator inspection and overhaul works
• Assisting with generator and rotor extraction scopes
• Working on high‑voltage generation equipment
• Working as part of a small, experienced mechanical team
• Supervisory or team‑leading input may be required depending on experience

Shift Details

• 12‑hour night shifts
• Operating on a 7‑day basis, starting June
• Short‑term / outage‑based scope
• Weekly pay - PAYE 

Candidate Requirements

• Proven mechanical experience within power generation, heavy industry, or similar environments
• Experience on major inspections or outage works highly desirable
• High‑voltage generator experience beneficial
• Supervisory or team‑lead experience advantageous
• Valid Safety Passport
• Lifting certification preferred
