Protocol Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Basildon. You will be part of a dedicated team supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist setting.
About the role:- Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Helping manage behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working closely with experienced staff in a collaborative environment
- A positive, resilient and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Previous experience is beneficial but not essential – the right mindset is key
- Full-time, long-term opportunity
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
- Based in Basildon

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
