Mental Health Support Worker

Cygnet Hospital Derby - PMVA and mandatory trainings required

6 Months UK experience is required

• Daily Living Assistance: Helping with practical tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene to improve quality of life.
• Support and Rehabilitation: Assisting service users in developing recovery goals, gaining independent living skills, and re-engaging with the community.
• Monitoring and Observation: Keeping detailed records of behaviour changes, physical health, and medication effects.
• Crisis Management: Identifying risks and providing immediate support during high-stress situations or emotional relapses.
• Emotional Support: Offering companionship, active listening, and encouraging positive coping mechanisms.
• Community Support: Working in a patient’s home or local community.
• Inpatient Units/Hospitals: Assisting within specialized mental health wards.

Requirements
