MET Technician

Our client, a reputable and well-established Accident Repair Centre in Luton, is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work within a leading employer in the accident repair sector, offering competitive remuneration, career development, and reliable working hours.
Benefits for the successful MET Technician:
- Up to £56,000 basic salary (£24 per hour)
- OTE exceeding £65,000 through performance-based bonuses
- Monday to Friday working pattern (8:00am – 5:00pm) with some flexibility
- Overtime opportunities available
- Ongoing training and ATA accreditation support
- Stable employment with a prominent accident repair provider
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and trim (MET) work on assigned vehicles
- Dismantle and reassemble vehicles accurately and efficiently
- Conduct fault diagnostics and testing, identifying repair requirements
- Fit replacement parts complying with manufacturer standards
- Carry out inspections to ensure work quality and safety compliance
- Identify additional faults or safety-related issues during repair process
- Road test vehicles as necessary under safe and legal conditions
- Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard of quality and safety standards
- Proven experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair or bodyshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship
- Good diagnostic skills and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a busy workshop
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
- ATA accreditation is advantageous but not essential
