Salary: £13.25 - £14.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Overtime available x 1.5

Hours: Monday 07.30 – 16.00, Tuesday to Thursday 07.45 – 16.00 and Friday 07.45 – 15.00.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join a reputable manufacturing company in Gateshead. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a range of metalworking machinery, including press brakes, guillotines, and rollers.
• Carry out some spot welding as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials accurately.
• Assemble metal parts and structures to exact tolerances.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Metal Worker or Fabricator.
• Hands-on experience operating press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication equipment.
• Competence in spot welding and general welding/fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
