We are currently seeking a Methods Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor's Work Winning team based in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys the technical side of project delivery and wants to be involved in developing construction methodologies, tender strategies and innovative engineering solutions for major infrastructure schemes across the UK.
The RoleWorking as part of a collaborative pre construction and bid team, you will be responsible for developing practical and cost effective construction solutions that support successful tender submissions.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing tender documentation, specifications and technical information
• Developing construction methodologies and sequencing strategies
• Producing technical proposals and supporting tender submissions
• Preparing project schedules, resource plans and delivery strategies
• Identifying project risks and developing mitigation measures
• Supporting bid reviews, client presentations and tender interviews
• Working closely with planning, commercial, procurement and operational teams
• Developing innovative engineering solutions for complex civil engineering projects
RequirementsTo be considered, you should have:
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years' experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Experience within pre construction, temporary works, tendering, project engineering or work winning environments
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction techniques
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation
• Excellent planning, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of construction contracts
