We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a leading manufacturing business based in Salford Priors, near Evesham.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled welder looking to secure a long-term position with excellent earning potential. The role will initially be working a day shift, Monday to Friday, with future plans to move onto a rotating shift pattern of 6:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a weld test prior to starting employment.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding a variety of steel components and assemblies
- Welding materials ranging from 2mm to 30mm thickness
- Working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
- Producing high-quality welds to required standards
- Carrying out visual inspections of completed work
- Preparing materials prior to welding, including grinding, cleaning, and fitting
- Supporting fabrication and assembly activities where required
- Ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- Proven MIG welding experience within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or heavy industrial environment
- Experience welding material thicknesses between 2mm and 30mm
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
- Willingness to complete a weld test before starting
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport due to the location
