Recruitment South East are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a stunning private school located on the outskirts of Rye, East Sussex, who are seeking a reliable and professional Minibus Driver to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a friendly educational environment and takes pride in providing safe and efficient transport for pupils.

We are looking for a responsible, friendly person who will provide a professional and safe minibus service to our pupils.

You must hold a clean D1 driving licence. Uniform and training provided 

The hours of work are
6:15am - 8:45am and 3.45pm - 6pm, Monday to Friday
Tuesday - 6:15am - 8:45am and 4.45pm – 7pm

Main Responsibilities
  • Daily transport of pupils to and from school as directed by the Bursar
  • Carrying out daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks prior to departure
  • Using the Vectare transport App to record pupils boarding and disembarking
  • Maintaining good order and cleanliness of the vehicle and reporting any defects via the App
  • Ensuring compliance with the school's Minibus Policy
  • Supporting with any additional driving duties as reasonably requested by the Bursar or Headmaster
General Responsibilities
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with:
    • Current Health & Safety legislation
    • The school's safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures relevant to the role
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all school, staff and pupil information
Candidate Requirements
  • Hold a current clean UK driving licence with D or D1 entitlement
  • Be aged 21 or over and have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of two years
  • Hold a MiDAS qualification (or equivalent), or be willing to undertake the training
  • Be willing to complete a vehicle familiarisation and assessment drive with an experienced driver
