Salary: £30,000 + Van & Fuel Card

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Mobile Fabric Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management company covering commercial properties across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites. The role will involve a variety of general maintenance and repair duties to ensure buildings are kept to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building fabric repairs and maintenance
  • Basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, patch repairs, and general handyman duties
  • Repair doors, locks, flooring, ceiling tiles, and fixtures
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests across multiple sites
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate job records and reports
  • Liaise professionally with clients and site staff

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Fabric Engineer, Handyman, or Building Maintenance role
  • Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance and repairs
  • Experience within Facilities Management or commercial environments desirable
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry skills advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
