My client, a well‑established Local Authority, is urgently seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Light Vehicle Technician to join their in‑house fleet maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for stable hours, a supportive working environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing (Class 4, 5 & 7 where licensed)
• Undertake vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard
• Ensure all work complies with DVSA legislation and safety standards
• Accurately complete job cards and records
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop

✅ Candidate Requirements

• Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
• IMI Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  (or equivalent City & Guilds qualification) — essential
• MOT Tester Licence (Class 4, 5 & 7) — highly desirable
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, professional, and safety‑focused approach to work

🕘 Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00 – 17:00
• No weekends
