Salary: £39-000-£42,000 + Bonus

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a qualified MOT Tester to join a well-established and busy automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to work within a professional workshop environment, carrying out MOT testing and supporting vehicle maintenance operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid MOT licence and demonstrate strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high standards of safety and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing in line with Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) regulations
• Accurately assess vehicles and identify any defects or safety issues
• Complete all relevant documentation and ensure compliance with testing standards
• Liaise with workshop technicians regarding required repairs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Provide excellent customer service when required

Requirements

• Valid MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 as a minimum – Class 7 desirable)
• Proven experience within a workshop or garage environment
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician alongside MOT testing
• Experience working in a fast-paced workshop
