Our client, one of the UK’s leading automotive tyre and fast-fit centre groups, is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join their busy Bridgend centre. Duties of the MOT Tester:
  • Conduct all aspects of MOT testing to current Government standards efficiently and accurately
  • Support the workshop team by diagnosing and conducting associated vehicle repairs when needed
  • Communicate effectively with customers by updating them on testing progress, findings, and necessary work
  • Support overall workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and vehicle testing regulations as an MOT Tester
  • Support in providing excellent customer service to foster long-term customer relationships
  • Liaise with other workshop team members to troubleshoot and share technical expertise
Requirements:
  • Valid and current Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licences
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ideally holds NVQ/IMI Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
  • Experienced vehicle mechanic with a strong MOT testing background, and the relevant licences, will also be considered
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritise workload appropriately
