We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multiskilled Commercial Engineer to join a busy facilities maintenance team supporting a portfolio of commercial properties across North London, including schools, children's centres, and other public sector buildings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with experience across multiple MEP disciplines to secure a long-term contract within a stable and rewarding environment.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation works, including:
- Plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical repairs
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding
- Asset renewals and replacements
- Statutory testing and compliance checks
- Minor design and installation works where required
- Diagnosing plant and building service failures
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality reactive and planned maintenance works.
- Diagnose faults and identify cost-effective repair solutions.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance in accordance with SGF20, CIBSE guidance, British Standards, statutory regulations, and safe systems of work.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and O&M manuals.
- Complete accurate records of works undertaken using mobile technology and CAFM systems.
- Coordinate follow-on works where specialist contractors are required.
- Maintain excellent customer service and communication with building users and stakeholders.
- Contribute to long-term asset management and energy efficiency initiatives.
