Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Full-time | Monday–Friday | Prestwick - Scotland

At Elite Cooling Services Scotland (ECS), we specialise in delivering high-quality refrigeration and engineering solutions to the FMCG and industrial sectors. We’re now looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team—someone who can help keep equipment running smoothly, minimise downtime, and make a real impact in fast-paced production environments.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering stability, career development, and the opportunity to work with a close-knit team across multiple sites and projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical & mechanical faults efficiently.
  • Work across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues including PLC and control systems.
  • Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Assist with installation, upgrades, and improvement projects.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated environments
  • Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of PLCs / automation systems (desirable)
  • Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, safety-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to continuous improvement

What we offer:

  • Salary up to £42,000 DOE
  • Enhanced overtime rates (1.5x)
  • 40-hour working week (full-time)
