A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team at a high-performing production facility in Blackpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking business that continues to invest heavily in its people, equipment, and manufacturing processes. The successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment and site services.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise operational performance.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing environments. The ideal Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be comfortable working on both electrical and mechanical systems and have a proactive approach to fault finding and continuous improvement.
- Apprentice trained or qualified within an Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering discipline.
- Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging, chemical, or similar industrial environments.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
- Experience carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
- A positive attitude with a desire to contribute towards site improvements and engineering excellence.
