Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join a well-established joinery business based in Winchester. This role will involve supporting the production and movement of bespoke staircase components, alongside general workshop duties.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in joinery, manufacturing or warehouse environments, who is comfortable with physical work and operating machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance and Combi forklifts to move materials and finished goods
• Assisting in the production of bespoke staircase joinery components
• Loading, unloading and transporting timber and materials across the workshop
• Supporting skilled joiners with basic woodworking tasks
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Experience operating a Combi (multi-directional) forklift (highly desirable)
• Experience within joinery, woodworking, manufacturing or warehouse environments
• Comfortable with heavy lifting
• Strong work ethic, reliability and team attitude

Desirable Skills

• Experience within staircase or bespoke joinery manufacturing
• Familiarity with woodworking tools and machinery
• Previous experience working in a workshop environment
