Within our Facilities Management division, the Southeast Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites.
The sucesful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and minor project works across a multi-purpose traditional Hard FM contract. The role will involve a broad range of building fabric maintenance tasks to ensure all properties remain safe, compliant, functional, and maintained to a high standard.
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance to: Doors and door frames, windows and window furniture, walls, ceilings, floor systems and skirting
- Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating works internally and externally
- Complete patch repairs and redecoration works to a high standard
- Carry out minor plastering and making-good works e.g. Repair damaged walls, ceilings, and finishes
- Replace and repair various types of door locks and locking systems incluidng hinges closers, handles, and associated ironmongery
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs including: Tap repairs/replacements, Toilet repairs, waste and trap repairs and minor leak repairs
- Identify and report larger plumbing issues where specialist support is required
- Carry out minor internal and external roofing repairs such as: roof coverings, flashings, gutters, and rainwater goods
- Complete weatherproofing and external fabric maintenance works safely
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed SLAs/KPIs whilst completing planned maintenance activities as scheduled
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or above in a building services/trade discipline or equivalent is preferable
- Strong carpentry and general fabric maintenance background including repairing and replacing door locks and ironmongery
- Experience in painting, decorating, plastering, and minor plumbing
- Basic roofing repair experience desirable
- Good understanding of health & safety
