Meridian are working with a growing commercial fit-out company who specialise in commercial refurbishments and shopfitting projects. Their projects are often 3-month timeframes in major cities such as Sheffield, Liverpool, London, Nottingham etc. Due to growing demands of increasing work, they are looking to grow their onsite team with an additional Joiner with experience in fit-outs of hospitality, retail, or shopfitting venues.

  • Starting hourly rate between £22 - £30/hr (DoE)
  • Additional overtime and hours available (50+ Monday - Friday)

Requirements for this role:
  • NVQ in Joinery with relevant CSCS card
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in site joinery
  • Proven experience in commercial fit-outs (hospitality or retail preferred)
  • Strong ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Excellent finishing skills and eye for detail
  • Competent with onsite tools, PPE, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required
  • Able to work away during the week across the UK
Duties include (but are not exclusive to):
  • Install bespoke joinery including counters, bars, wall panelling, seating, display units and back-of-house fittings
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
  • Carry out 1st and 2nd fix joinery to a high standard
  • Work efficiently within live or fast-track environments
  • Ensure all works meet quality, safety and compliance standards
  • Liaise with site managers and other trades to maintain programme timelines
  • Identify and resolve practical installation challenges on site
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
  • Represent the company professionally on client-facing sites
