HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Ongoing Store Delivery Work | Excellent Rates | Coventry

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent, ongoing work with a company that genuinely values its drivers?

We are recruiting professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a highly respected and well-established client based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to secure regular weekly work on a rotating shift pattern of Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with additional shifts often available on Fridays and Saturdays. While extra weekend work is frequently offered, it should be considered a bonus rather than guaranteed hours.

Shift Pattern

Regular Weekly Shifts:

• Sunday
• Tuesday
• Thursday

Additional Shifts Available (Not Guaranteed):

• Friday
• Saturday

Both AM and PM starts are available.

Pay Rates

AM Shifts

• £22.94 per hour PAYE
• £25.71 per hour PAYE including holiday pay

PM Shifts

• £25.25 per hour PAYE
• £28.30 per hour PAYE including holiday pay

Weekend Bonus

• Additional £61.15 per shift on Saturdays and Sundays
• Or £68.53 per shift when rolled into the hourly rate

Estimated Earnings

Weekly Earnings (Based on 36 Hours)

AM Shifts

• £825.84 per week before deductions

PM Shifts

• £909.00 per week before deductions

Monthly Earnings (Based on 36 Hours)

AM Shifts

• Approximately £3,578.64 per month before deductions

PM Shifts

• Approximately £3,939.00 per month before deductions

Additional Friday and Saturday shifts can significantly increase weekly and monthly earnings.

Training & Induction

To ensure every driver is fully prepared and supported, you will receive:

• 2-hour paid assessment
• 5 days of paid training

This thorough onboarding process helps set you up for long-term success within the role.

Duties

• Delivering goods to stores across the UK
• Communicating with depot managers and traffic offices
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Assisting with unloading cages at delivery points
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
• Strong communication and customer service skills
