We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business in Fareham who are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their JChem / process team.
What’s the role all about?
As a Production Operative, you’ll be responsible for supporting chemical and process-based manufacturing activities, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
This is a practical, hands-on role working within a controlled manufacturing environment where attention to detail and adherence to procedures is key.
Shift pattern and salary
- Late Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am
- No Fridays – 3-day weekends every week
- Salary: £27,500 per annum
- Shift uplift: +25%
Key responsibilities
- Carry out production activities within a chemical/process environment
- Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions and safety guidelines
- Support the mixing, handling or processing of materials where required
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Carry out basic inspections and checks during production
- Maintain accurate production and process records
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams
What you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience in a manufacturing, chemical or process environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- A reliable and proactive approach to work
Experience working with chemicals, controlled processes or regulated environments would be advantageous.

Salary and benefits
- £27,500 base salary + 25% shift uplift
- 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday)
