About the Role
We are looking for a Nursery Cook to join our BRAND-NEW nursery setting in Islington (100 childcare places).
Are you passionate about feeding little minds and tummies? We’re on the lookout for a Food Champion to join our nursery team — someone who sees the kitchen as a place where care, creativity, and community come together. You will also be responsible for keeping our nursery kitchen sparkling, safe, and welcoming for the little ones who play, learn, and grow with us every day.

As a Nursery Chef, you will:
-
Serve delicious balanced meals that children and parents trust, in accordance with the nursery's nutritional guidance for the under-fives.

Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen, always meeting food hygiene and health & safety standards.

Comply with all company policies around preparing and serving food, including managing various dietary requirements.
What we are looking for:

A genuine love for working in an environment with children.

Holds a Food Hygiene qualification, or is willing to work towards one.

A great eye for detail and a genuine pride in your work.

Ability to plan ahead, stay organised, and work independently.

Understanding of (or willingness to learn) basic health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

Effective communication skills to speak with colleagues and management regarding schedules, supply needs, and maintenance issues.

A positive attitude and a caring approach to everything you do.
