Nursery Nurse

A welcoming and inclusive primary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join their Early Years team as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional looking to secure a long-term role within a school setting. The successful candidate will start ASAP and, subject to a successful placement, continue on a one-year contract from September 2026.

The successful candidate must:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or an equivalent recognised Early Years qualification
• Have previous experience working within a nursery, Reception, or Early Years setting
• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• Be confident supporting children's learning through play-based activities
• Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
• Be proactive, nurturing, and committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential

The role will involve:

• Supporting teaching and learning within the Nursery classroom
• Assisting with observations and children's developmental progress
• Supporting children with their social, emotional, and educational development
• Creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
• Working closely with teachers and the wider Early Years team
