We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery setting in the Chelmsford area for an immediate start.
This is a full-time, temporary ongoing position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The RoleAs a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a nursery room team and creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to learn and develop. You will play a key role in supporting children’s early development while ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support staff within the nursery room
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Monitor and track children’s development and progress
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
  • Support the day-to-day running of the room and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Mentor and guide junior members of staff where required
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working within a nursery setting
  • Experience leading or supporting within a nursery room
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passionate, caring, and proactive approach
