Worldwide prestigious specialist transportation company with over three decades in the industry looking after some of the world’s most luxurious and rare vehicles are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate experienced Ocean Freight & Customs Coordinator to join their team in rural Suffolk, near Bury St Edmunds.

Due to the location, it is essential that you can drive here.

As an Ocean Freight & Customs Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing international shipments from start to finish. Combining customs expertise with freight forwarding operations, you'll ensure vehicles and cargo move smoothly, compliantly, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage import and export sea freight shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Prepare and process customs declarations for air and ocean freight.
• Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, ports, agents, and internal teams to coordinate shipments.
• Raise and discharge T-Forms and support bonded warehouse and customs procedures.
• Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
• Provide regular updates and exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records across customs and operational systems.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in customs clearance and freight forwarding operations.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
• Experience using Destin8, CNS, Sequoia and/or Freight Fax systems.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
