We're working with a well-established and growing UK freight forwarder in Redditch, looking to add an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to their team.

This is a true end-to-end role, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of shipments and wants to broaden their skillset into air and road freight (full training provided).

• Manage start-to-finish sea freight imports & exports
• Handle customs clearance and all related documentation
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and suppliers
• Arrange final delivery and UK transport
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently
• Complete job costing and invoicing accurately
• Gain exposure to air & road freight as part of a multimodal function
• Build relationships through proactive, consultative customer contact

• Minimum 2+ years' sea freight experience (import/export)
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes
• Experience with customs clearance
• Confident managing shipments end-to-end
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Customer-focused with good communication skills
• Air or road freight knowledge is a bonus (not essential)
