This leading contractor are seeking a OFCI Package Manager to join a Data Centre construction project based in Portugal.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical and process lead for all OFCI (Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed) equipment packages, acting as the main point of contact between client-appointed vendors and project stakeholders.
  • Manage the OFCI team to ensure all works are effectively engineered, coordinated, and executed in full compliance with project specifications, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of OFCI packages - from procurement through delivery, installation, and commissioning - ensuring integration with the overall construction programme.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, and commissioning teams to drive alignment and support seamless project delivery.
  • Lead regular coordination meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication.
  • Track and report on OFCI progress, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to prevent or resolve contractual and operational disputes.
  • Ensure all vendor-supplied equipment meets technical, safety, and quality standards prior to installation.
  • Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality, data security, and project compliance requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience with an M&E contractor, ideally on mission-critical or large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in leading complex projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in engineering systems software and project management tools, with the ability to drive efficient delivery and reporting.
