We are now looking for an Oil Spill Responder to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As an Oil Spill Responder, you will support global oil spill response operations through response work, equipment readiness and ongoing technical training.

Beginning with a 12 week training programme, you will help maintain response readiness by carrying out equipment maintenance, rehabilitation and practical operational work to the highest safety standards.

As part of the duty team, you will also support spill incidents, exercises and preparedness projects globally, including travelling at short notice to assist with mobilisations and client activities.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety and environmental procedures
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge and operational skills
- Support client engagement and preparedness activities
- Provide technical support and expertise to other departments
- Represent us at industry forums, conferences and stakeholder meetings

About You

To be considered as an Oil Spill Responder, you will need:

- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong safety ethos
- A willingness to be on-call and to be sent anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice
- A full, valid driving licence

Language skills, in addition to English, are a real advantage, especially French. Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic would also be useful.
