Role Overview

The Operations Manager will lead all day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of production, warehousing, and distribution. This role is key to improving performance, supporting growth, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee production, machining, warehousing, and dispatch operations
  • Ensure on-time delivery and efficient production scheduling
  • Manage stock control, supply coordination, and material yield
  • Lead logistics and transport performance
  • Maintain health & safety compliance and promote best practice
  • Manage, develop, and motivate operational teams
  • Monitor KPIs, control costs, and drive continuous improvement

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in operations or production management
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations
  • Understanding of health & safety requirements

Desirable

  • Timber or materials processing experience
  • ERP/WMS system knowledge
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience
