The Opportunity
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Operations Manager to oversee and drive performance across the UK facility.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for end-to-end operational delivery, leading multiple teams to achieve best-in-class performance across key performance indicators.
You’ll play a pivotal role in translating strategic objectives into operational results, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations across a multi-disciplinary team
- Drive performance across typically manufacturing KPI’s
- Ensure customer demand is fulfilled efficiently and on time
- Provide oversight of major projects and coordinate cross-functional delivery
- Own and deliver site revenue and operational performance targets
- Embed Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies across the operation
- Champion productivity, efficiency, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Develop high-performing teams through strong leadership, coaching, and succession planning
- Ensure robust planning systems, including S&OP/SIOP and production scheduling
- Maintain high standards across quality, compliance, and facility management
About You
- Strong leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial operations
- Proven ability to manage and develop operational teams in a fast-paced environment
- Track record of improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Skilled in Lean / Six Sigma practices (Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent experience)
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to deliver against revenue and operational targets
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production planning, and operational analytics
- Hands-on, results-driven leadership style with a passion for continuous improvement
