My client is an Educational establishment seeking a dynamic and experienced  Operations Manager to join their friendly team.

The role is part-time, - 25 hours per week. 

Role Function:

To support the effective operational running of the school across multiple sites, ensuring that key support services including catering, transport and fleet, lettings, IT liaison, digital systems development, and site operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with school expectations.

The post holder will act as a key operational link between the School Business Manager, operational staff, and external providers, helping to ensure compliance, continuity of service, and effective day-to-day operations.

The level of autonomy, leadership responsibility, and delegated authority within the role will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and the final agreed scope of responsibilities.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience of working within an operational, administrative, or facilities-based role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and operational processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and services.

Desirable:

  • Experience within a school or SEND environment.
  • Experience of line management.
  • Experience of transport, fleet, site, or contractor management.
  • Experience supporting operational improvement or digital systems development.
