Are you an experienced Panel Wirer looking to work on highly engineered products supporting some of the UK's most advanced defence and technology programmes?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer operating within a highly regulated engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong order book, long-term stability, and opportunities for development.

The Role

You will be responsible for the assembly, wiring and testing of electrical control panels, cabinets and associated equipment to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Panel wiring and electrical assembly work.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Installation of electrical components and sub-assemblies.
  • Cable preparation, termination and routing.
  • Electrical testing and fault finding.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Fitter or Electrical Assembler.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience of panel building and electrical assembly.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, Military Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent electrical qualification preferred.

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to meet security and nationality requirements associated with UK defence projects. British Passport holders are encouraged to apply. Dual nationality may be considered subject to project requirements.
