Part time Payroll Administrator

We are currently partnered with a small accountancy who are looking for a highly organised Payroll Administrator to take full ownership of the payroll function. This is a sole‑charge position, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and managing their own workload.

You'll be responsible for running around 80 small payrolls and this role will be working roughly 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple payrolls across approximately 80 small client accounts
  • Processing payroll using Payroll Manager software
  • Ensuring all statutory requirements are met (RTI, pensions, etc.)
  • Posting payroll journals into the accounting system
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and gather payroll information
  • Supporting bookkeeping tasks where required (training provided if needed
